Gravel Tire

Construction

Gravel as a phenomenon of modern cycling. Tubeless gravel tyres have become standard thanks to their ability to combine the best of road and MTB technologies – they allow lower pressures for greater comfort and traction on rough terrain, minimize the risk of punctures thanks to sealant, and maintain low rolling resistance. The growing popularity of gravel stems from its versatility – one tyre, many surfaces, the freedom to discover new paths off the beaten track.

Our range includes two types of gravel tyres that meet the different requirements of riders and terrain conditions:

  • The standard version is designed with an emphasis on low rolling resistance and excellent grip, making it the ideal choice for racing and fast riding on solid surfaces. The finer structure of the tire with a higher number of thin fibers (higher TPI) ensures smooth and sensitive contact with the surface.
  • The HD (Heavy Duty) version provides increased resistance to punctures and cuts. It is suitable for more demanding terrain where reliability is key. The tire has a lower TPI, meaning fewer but thicker fibers, which increases the overall robustness of the construction.

TUFO TR Beads

Aramid beads developed for tubeless tyres with an focus on safety. The beads are specially treated to adhere and hold firmly inside the tyres.

Bead protection

It serves to reinforce the bead area of the tyre, i.e., the place where the tire contacts the rim.

Additional bead protection

The carcass

The carcass determines the shape, strength, and driving characteristics of the tyre. Its quality is often expressed in TPI units.

Puncture barrier

The anti-puncture layer is a special reinforcement inside the tyre casing that protects against punctures and cuts.

Sidewall protection

Tread

The tread is the outer part of the tyre that comes into contact with the road surface. It is a rubber layer with a pattern that ensures grip, water drainage, and wear resistance. Its compound has a significant impact on driving characteristics such as rolling resistance, traction, and noise levels.
